SMC³ Summer Meeting to Focus on the Carrier-Shipper Relationship
Attendees will explore mutually beneficial supply chain strategies

Peachtree City, Ga. - February 14, 2005—SMC³’s 50th Annual Summer Meeting will examine how the economics of transportation are changing the business-to-business relationship. Presentations will explore how shippers and carriers can collaborate to develop long-term, mutually beneficial global supply chain strategies.

The meeting, “Intermodal. International. Interdependence. Transportation’s Collaborative Future,” is scheduled to take place June 22-24 at the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort in Savannah, Ga.

Building on the SMC³ Winter Meeting’s focus on supply chain trends, transportation professionals will have the opportunity to explore how capacity, energy and government regulations interact to affect shipper/carrier relationships, collaboration strategies and security throughout the global supply chain.
