SMC³ Winter Conference to Educate Attendees on How to Grow Their Piece of the
Supply Chain
Atlanta, Ga. - October 23, 2007—Attendees at the SMC³ 2008 Winter Conference will learn what it takes to adapt and grow their business through the expanding and shifting global pipeline. Industry experts will provide the insight needed to plan for both short and long term sustainability in the next era of transportation and technology.
The conference, “Shifting the Pipeline – Supply Chain Roles, Risks & Technology,” is scheduled to take place Jan. 22-23, 2008, at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Atlanta. Sessions will focus on operational visibility, global trading regions, sourcing decisions, expanding service provider roles and risk management.
Supply chain partners from some of the nation’s leading organizations will share how they are utilizing the latest technologies to improve operations and visibility, reinventing their business plans to grow their business deeper into the supply chain as well as mitigating risk through multiple sourcing options and regional compliances.

The final session of the conference will feature an energy panel discussion, facilitated by Bob Rosenbaum of Penton Media, which will get attendees up to speed on the latest issues and challenges. Following an overview by Rosenbaum, industry experts will discuss the various sources of energy for the transportation network, pros and cons of alternative sources, and optimal legislative policies for addressing the current energy crisis.
