2007 TSMA Conference Examines How to Get the Most Return From Your Lifelong Investment in Learning

Peachtree City, Ga. - February 5, 2007—Transportation sales and marketing professionals will gain valuable insight into the critical cornerstones of a successful career in sales and marketing during the 2007 Transportation Sales & Marketing Association Annual Conference. The conference, “Investing in Learning: The Keys to Success” is scheduled to take place April 22-25 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Fla.

During the conference, nationally-known speakers will discuss key principles that enable people to become peak performers. Marketing professionals will learn how to build results into their marketing concepts and use media to achieve their sales and marketing goals. In addition, strategies and tactics to take advantage of an expanding economy will be explored during the meeting.

Sales executives will learn how to effectively deliver education via multiple methods and media. Industry leaders will walk attendees through the process of hiring, motivating and optimizing a “best in class” sales force.

Attendees will also explore how the changing market conditions of the North American trucking industry provide an excellent opportunity to improve financial performance. Featured speakers David Bradley, CEO of the Canadian Trucking Alliance and president of the Ontario Trucking Association, and Patrick Quinn, co-chairman and president of U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. and chairman of the American Trucking Associations, will address these new market dynamics and the vital role trucking serves in the North American economy.

“After 40 years in sales and marketing, this conference is the one I have enjoyed the most,” said Dick Hitchcock, director of corporate accounts, BNSF. “It combines fun, networking and education. Most important, it’s a chance to meet your peers on a personal basis, and some will become life-long personal friends.”

Mitch Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing, Milan Express, agrees. “Where else can a person receive the opportunity to learn and network with other professionals in the transportation sales and marketing field? Only at TSMA can you receive all this for an outstanding value. All should attend for themselves and their company.”

In addition, entries in the annual Communication Awards Competition will be displayed at the TSMA Annual Conference. The competition is an excellent opportunity for companies to showcase their advertising and marketing talents and to gain ideas for their next promotional programs.

TSMA provides the educational forums, training and tools that transportation sales and marketing professionals need to stay current on industry issues, advance their careers and strengthen their organizations.
