Annual Conference Helps Transportation Professionals Build Their Strengths
Peachtree City, GA - November 24, 2003 - The Transportation Sales & Marketing Association (TSMA) announces its 2004 Spring Conference, March 28-31, 2004, at the Wigwam Resort and Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona.
“This year's conference, Building on Our Strengths, will show transportation professionals how to unleash the power of their workforce and break through performance barriers,” said Steve Hartmann, TSMA president and Mid-States Express vice president.
Designed with results in mind, the conference will address several key areas, including sales and marketing management, marketing strategy and productivity through technology.
The conference keynote speaker, Dr. Blaine Lee, founding vice president at Franklin Covey, has been coaching successful men and women worldwide for 25 years. Business leaders from all organizational levels have praised his warm, practical approach to helping them proactively achieve success and execute with excellence. At the TSMA 2004 conference, Dr. Lee will demonstrate how his philosophy, “build your people, they will build your business,” can enhance attendees’ business and personal lives.
In the first of two presentations, Bob Clark, president of P. I. Consulting Group, will discuss the theoretical, legal and practical aspects of using assessment tools to identify behavioral traits needed to excel in sales and marketing. Clark’s interactive afternoon workshop will focus on developing leadership skills that turn diverse behavioral strengths into dynamic, cohesive sales and marketing teams.
In a concurrent workshop, Dr. Barry Feinberg, senior vice president at GfK Custom Research, Inc., will focus on tools for measuring customers’ perceived brands as well as how to gauge customer satisfaction and loyalty. His subsequent workshop will demonstrate how to build brand image and turn customer satisfaction and loyalty into a competitive weapon.
Daniel Klaussen, Golden Gate Associates founding partner, will examine the overwhelmed feeling created by today’s advancements in technology. He will explain how the latest personal and professional technology innovations are being applied and describe how they can be harnessed to make your life more productive, simple and fun.
For those who have conquered the basics, but are still drowning in an avalanche of electronic information, Klaussen’s Wednesday morning roundtable discussion will offer relief. Through group discussions, demonstrations and exercises, attendees will learn how they can master technology already at their fingertips to control information flow and create an effective digital lifestyle.
