SMC³ enhances Transportlink website
www.transportlink.com now offers users upgraded features and access


Peachtree City, GA – August 5, 2002 – SMC³, the leading provider of Technology Tools for TransportationSM, today announced the newly revamped website for www.transportlink.com. With upgraded features, Transportlink is now more efficient for users to navigate and access.

“Transportlink has become a valuable tool for every member of the transportation community,” stated Jack E. Middleton, president and CEO, SMC³. He added, “The previous site, while efficient, was not optimized to handle Transportlink’s growing user base. The new look and features on the website offer increased functionality for all users and complements SMC³’s commitment to quality within the transportation marketplace.”

The new website is built on dynamic, database-driven web pages and sports a new fresh look. Housed on SMC³’s Web server, the updated site provides Transportlink users the ability to add and edit their company’s listing online through a password-protected section of the site. Furthermore, it provides easier navigation through the alphabetical hyperlinks at the top of each web page.

Additional upgraded features for users include:

  • The ability to list a company in multiple categories, providing a more accurate representation of the company and enabling users to more quickly locate a company of interest.
  • Updated company postings within one business day. For example, if a company adds a new product or changes a logo, their representative can simply update the data via the Transportlink website and it will be posted within one business day.
  • Access to the latest in transportation news. Transportlink was added to the SMC³ News Center, which is updated weekly with leading industry, economic, legislative and business/technology articles and information.

    • Sponsored by SMC³, the Transportlink website is a free resource designed to link motor carriers, third-party logistics providers and other industry organizations together in one central location. It connects industry professionals with multiple field-related resources quickly and easily, providing a valuable networking agent for site visitors. In addition, all of the listings are provided as a free service to qualifying industry organizations and can be accessed via the directory located on the homepage.
