TSMA Announces its 2002 Spring Conference

Annual Conference Features Focus on Developing a High Performance Culture

Peachtree City, GA - November 20, 2001 - The Transportation Sales & Marketing Association (TSMA) announces its 2002 Spring Conference, April 21-24, 2002, at the Sheraton El Conquistador Resort in Tucson, Arizona.

The theme for the upcoming TSMA conference is "Gearing up for Results: Creating a Roadmap to a High Performance Culture." A high performance culture consistently meets the needs of customers, employees and owners, thereby creating customer loyalty, reducing employee turnover, improving profitability and increasing profit.

The conference will officially open on Monday, April 22, with the President's remarks and keynote speaker and seminar. The keynote speaker is Joe Calhoon, one of Franklin Covey's top presenters. Calhoon will conduct a 4-hour mini-seminar on the fundamentals of high performance cultures. Over the past 20 years, Calhoon has helped hundreds of thousands of people "be" more and "do" more. Calhoon's presentation is carefully crafted with humor, illustrations and insight to stimulate the positive results an organization needs while enriching important relationships.

Other highlights of the TSMA conference include a CEO panel discussion, with CEOs sharing information about their firm's performance and how they have achieved results that are consistently better than their competition. Specialized workshops will deal with the "how to's" of creating a roadmap to a high performance culture and different methods of developing a high performance sales and marketing team. Roundtable discussions will also be held by transportation industry professionals, covering what they have done to develop a high performance culture and their results.

The TSMA SpringConference also hosts the award ceremony for the Annual Communications Award Competition. The Communications Award Competition is an opportunity for entrants to showcase their company's advertising and marketing talents while competing with similar size firms from across the United States and Canada. A panel of professional advertisers, artists and designers provides evaluations and critiques of each entry. Entrants use this valuable information to help them develop future marketing strategies and advertising pieces. The deadline for entering the competition is Friday, February 15, 2002.
