Events Executive Joins SMC³ Industry and Educational Services Team
Kelley F. Petty Will Manage Industry Association’s Growing Educational Program
Atlanta, Ga. - November 12, 2008—Transportation industry association and pricing technology provider SMC³ announces the recent appointment of Kelley F. Petty as manager within its Industry and Educational Services group. This newly-created, highly visible industry service role gives Petty responsibility for advancing the SMC³ conference and seminar experience through superior program content, speaker selection, entertainment and other amenities.

"Kelley’s unique background in marketing communications and event management brings the requisite business and financial acumen, client relationship skills and thought leadership to this position."
Petty joins SMC³ from Capgemini, where she served as a marketing and events manager. There she directed logistics and planning as well as contributed to overall strategy development for marketing events and campaigns, including industry tradeshows, potential customer seminars and user conferences. Prior to Capgemini she managed global programs for Accenture and was guest relations manager at The Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. Petty has also worked with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and The House of Representatives in Washington D.C.

Petty earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory University. She is also a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Petty will be in attendance at the SMC³ 2009 Winter Conference, January 19-21 in Atlanta, where she will interface with the conference’s range of shipper, carrier and 3PL attendees as well as the educational speakers and conference support staff.
