Take an inside view of some of the sessions that make
the 2009 Loss Prevention Conference a requirement for success.

Uncover the rights and liabilities in transnational shipments. This session will help you determine when Canadian or Mexican laws may apply to your shipments. You will explore carrier and broker liability and claims valuation under Canadian and Mexican law. Learn about time limits for filing claims and explore other issues in transnational claims adjudication.

In this session, a panel of industry experts will discuss the duties of the consignee and limitations to receiving damaged freight. This interactive discussion will examine: unloading shipments, inspecting goods at delivery, receiving damaged freight, filing and mitigating freight loss and damage claims, and paying freight charges on damaged shipments.

"Green" packaging is an increasingly important component of supply chain greening initiatives. But to survive the journey, freight in transit also needs adequate package fortification. During this panel discussion - which features viewpoints from a packaging expert, a shipper and an inspection company - you will learn the many ways that green, protective packaging can be used for secure shipments.
