Networking and Social Events
A hallmark of SMC³ conferences is the special care we take to organize exceptional activities that foster peer-to-peer networking for conference attendees as well as their spouses and guests. Throughout your time with SMC³ you will find networking and social events geared toward your personal and professional interests:

Networking Functions
Tuesday, June 23, 5:30 – 7 p.m.: SMC³ launches each of its conferences with a networking reception the evening before the conference officially begins. Be sure that your travel arrangements allow for your attendance at this special event, which will enhance your conference experience.
Wednesday, June 24, 6 – 8 p.m.: SMC³ will host an elegant evening reception prior to the optional "Night on the Town" event. Network with other conference participants while enjoying drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres in the beautiful surroundings of Lotus Court, a palm grove set against the backdrop of Lake Las Vegas and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Thursday, June 25, 6 – 10 p.m.: The Thursday evening reception, dinner and entertainment is another standout of the SMC³ conference experience. Join us in an elegant yet relaxed setting to enjoy a delicious dinner and an evening of entertainment by Cirque Le Masque.
Wednesday – Friday, 7 – 8 a.m.: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! SMC³ hosts daily breakfasts that are sure to get you started with great food and conversation in a roundtable setting.
Spouse/Guest Activities
Wednesday, June 24, 9:45 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Spend the morning being pampered at the hotel's Spa Moulay, a Moroccan oasis where you will enjoy a manicure, neck/back/shoulder massage, or hand and foot massage in a soothing, relaxed atmosphere while sipping the spa's refreshing drink of pomegranate juice and ginger ale.
After enjoying the spa, come with us to the beautiful Marssa room for a "Sushi, Sake and Spice" presentation by the hotel's master sushi chef. You'll learn the history of sake and how it's made; and about Moroccan spices – taste them and learn how to use them in every day cooking. Even if you're not a sushi fan, you will enjoy this fascinating, ancient art form as well as the room's majestic mountain and lake views.

Thursday, June 25, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.: On Thursday morning, the spouse/guest group will leave the hotel and head for The Venetian on the Vegas strip. We'll take a short walk to Madame Tussauds, where you'll have a blast getting up close and personal with celebrities, pop stars, sports legends, political heavyweights and historical icons. No ropes or barriers here! You can stand beside, shake hands with, put your arms around, or even kiss any of the figures. Just be forewarned that we'll have someone with us taking photos! (Feel free to bring your own camera as well.)
Leaving Madame Tussauds, we'll head back to The Venetian for lunch in a private room at the Canyon Ranch Spa. Enjoy the buffet of salads, sandwiches and desserts and have fun making your own "spa sodas." After lunch you'll have some free time to take a leisurely ride down The Venetian's canal in an authentic Italian gondola, stroll along the cobblestone walkways or visit The Venetian's unique Grand Canal Shoppes.
Friday, June 26, 9 – 11 a.m.: Rise and shine with SMC³! Enjoy a tasty breakfast, fellowship with other conference spouses/guests and sip Mimosas. Then stay for a special presentation by Dr. Joanne Goodwin of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Ever wonder how all the glam and glitter of Las Vegas came to be in the desert? Dr. Goodwin's presentation is all about that history, especially the role of women in Las Vegas from its settlement to the gaming industry and current day.
Spouses and guests are invited to join conference attendees for a variety of additional events, including the Keynote Presentation, Tuesday Evening Networking Reception, Wednesday Afternoon Golf Outing, Wednesday Evening Reception and Off-Site Activity, and Thursday Evening Reception, Dinner and Entertainment.
SMC³ Golf Tournament
Join SMC³ on Wednesday afternoon for 18 holes of golf at the Reflection Bay Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus signature course and home of the Nicklaus/Flick golf schools. The course is highlighted by five holes that play along the shore of a privately-owned, 320-acre lake, while the remaining holes wind through the natural desert terrain and feature beautiful views of the Mojave Desert and Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Registration for the SMC³ Golf Tournament is part of the online conference registration process. The registration fee of $95 includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, refreshment car, cart fees and greens fees. Rental clubs are available for an additional fee to be paid on-site.
"Night on the Town"
This optional Wednesday evening activity gives you the opportunity to create your ideal 'night on the town' Las Vegas Strip experience. Coordinate a group excursion or take advantage of the personal time—whatever you have in mind! SMC³ will provide complimentary transportation on a staggered schedule (to be announced) between the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort and Bally's, which is at the heart of the Vegas Strip. Click the helpful map link to the right and make your plans now to spend the evening as you wish.
Note: Due to Danny Gans' unexpected passing our original plans to attend the Danny Gans Show have been cancelled. SMC³ extends our deepest condolences to the friends, family and associates of Mr. Gans.
