Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLPMr. Spira has been active in transportation and logistics law for more than 25 years, first as in-house counsel at a publicly held, billion-dollar transportation and logistics service provider and later in private law practice. His experience in drafting and negotiating operating contracts includes domestic and international agreements for logistics services; motor carrier agreements; owner operator agreements; warehouse service agreements; and equipment leases for carriers, shippers, and transportation intermediaries. He also advises motor carriers, air carriers, and ocean transportation intermediaries with respect to compliance with applicable laws and regulations in domestic and international transportation.
Mr. Spira prosecutes and defends freight loss and damage claims, freight bill payment and collection disputes, and other matters. He is also experienced in drafting and negotiating the purchase and sale of motor carriers, leasing companies, warehouses and third party logistics service providers.
