ASSESSING THE OPPORTUNITY will guide you in defining and aligning your company’s business, supply chain and RFP objectives. This session will examine how to identify the goals and expected results of the RFP to support your procurement process.

PREPARING AND PLANNING YOUR RFP is the RFP team’s most encompassing pre-event step. You will learn how to gather and cleanse facility and shipment level information, identify components of the RFP document, establish your internal RFP baseline, and qualify carriers to participate in the RFP event. This session will examine RFP tool selection and methods of analyzing and awarding business. You will learn how to create a workable RFP schedule and an effective channel for answering questions about the RFP document.

EXECUTING AND EVALUTING RFP RESPONSES is the “Operate and Manage” step of the RFP process. You will learn how to distribute the RFP document, monitor the schedule, examine responses and evaluate the RFP submissions. This session will outline best practices for utilizing your established communication and feedback channels.

AWARDING THE BUSINESS AND TRACKING COMPLIANCE will demonstrate how to close the RFP event and then use a second level of discussions to clarify carrier submissions and update the RFP responses. Attendees will apply the tools and methods of analysis learned in the Preparing and Planning step to evaluate the submissions. You will learn how to select and finalize agreements with the selected carriers and gain insight on communication of RFP results. This session will help you develop the necessary skills to summarize the economic and service benefits of the new carrier network.

IMPLEMENTING YOUR CARRIER SOLUTION is your opportunity to learn how to manage the facility level detail needed to effectively transition to the new carrier solution. RFP supply chain process. Attendees will also review how to properly evaluate the RFP process and document lessons learned for future RFP processes. This session will provide the attendee with the necessary knowledge on how to establish Key Performance Indicators, reports and feedback mechanisms to ensure your RFP goals and objectives are met.
