RateWare XL— Featured Technology

RateWare XL is the fastest, most comprehensive rating and pricing solution of its kind. This latest SMC³ technology supports LTL, class and density pricing, with rating speeds of over 80,000 rate requests per second. RateWare XL is available now as a Web service, able to run anywhere on any platform.

In addition to the latest RateWare XL technology, SMC³ offers a complete family of client/server pricing tools for a TCP/IP network. The RateWare family is used by many of our software alliances and includes RateWare Server, RateWare Desktop Client (Microsoft Windows rater), the RateWare COM Client.

RateWare Server

The implementation of SMC³’s RateWare Server product enables you to fully realize the advantage of a durable rating engine with a library of more than 4,000 data modules. This robust rating simplifies LTL and small package pricing projects and eliminates the costly activities of sourcing, programming and maintaining data from multiple carriers.

RateWare Clients

The COM client that comes standard with the RateWare Server product can be used in both your development and production processes as a client for connecting LTL and small package pricing to a transportation or supply chain application. For users needing more of a production tool for rate quotes and freight payment purposes, SMC³'s RateWare Desktop Client is the solution.

Small Package Rating

A software interface distributed as part of the RateWare Server and RateWare COM technology products supports standard FedEx and UPS rates in a multi-carrier shipment rating engine. SMC³ makes the FedEx and UPS package rates available from all points to all points within the contiguous U.S., and provides all service levels (express, ground, cwt., etc.) in an integrated system.

Having FedEx and UPS rates along with the standard LTL rates gives you one-stop shopping for all your rating activities. And, the SMC³ name means that your package rates will be received in a timely manner.

Points of Service and Transit Times

SMC³’s CarrierConnect COM object technology can be used as a separate component or integrated with RateWare for quick access to carrier points of service and transit time data. SMC³ maintains the latest points of service and transit time data for more than 155 of the top national, multi-regional and regional carriers.

HP-UX Shared Library/Linux Shared Object

If you're developing an application that requires LTL pricing information, SMC³ provides RateWare shared objects and libraries that you can interface with from your HP-UX 64-bit or Linux system. These powerful programmers' tools enable you to incorporate SMC³'s rate data modules for LTL pricing and mileage data into an HP-UX or Linux application.
