Blasgen will speak on the organization’s latest State of Logistics Report, an annual undertaking that covers everything from emerging supply chain trends to the broader health of the economy. The official unveiling of the report will occur at the National Press Club on June 21 – just a few short days before Blasgen provides insight on the report at Connections. Authored and researched by A.T. Kearney, the report’s longstanding top supporter is Penske Logistics.

The State of Logistics Report, now in its 27th iteration, tracks emerging trends in the logistics sphere, dissecting these developments and exploring what impact they could have over the course of the next few years. The findings also include an assessment of the supply chain economy and its impact and a global look at supply chain health.

“This highly anticipated report contains statistics and industry insights that will not only help supply chain and logistics professionals do their jobs better, but also better prepare them for the business demands ahead,” said Blasgen.

The three-day Connections conference allows 3PLs, shippers, carriers and logistics service providers to discuss current trends with top decision-makers and supply chain analysts. Presenters and panelists are the newsmakers of the transportation and supply chain industry. Additional highlights of Connections include a panel on the rise of Amazon as a logistics leader and its recent move to the skies, an intermodal checkup with representatives from J.B. Hunt and Norfolk Southern, and a discussion about increased 3PL merger activity.

“We’re constantly striving to add the most knowledgeable industry experts to our Connections and Jump Start conferences,” said Andrew Slusher, president and CEO of SMC³. “Each year, CSCMP disseminates actionable, analytical information throughout the industry, and I couldn’t be more pleased that Rick will be joining us in Chicago to share his company’s latest research.”
